Slot Die Repair
We restore worn or damaged slot dies
to a like-new condition through precision polishing processes.
DCS provides expert solutions that enhance customer productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

01
Receiving Worn Products
Slot dies with damaged areas such as the lip, upper/lower plates,
etc., caused during equipment
Due to high temperature, high pressure, and adhesive exposure during mixing processes, micro-wear, corrosion, and cracks can occur on certain parts of the slot die. Surface defects frequently appear on the lip and upper/lower plates, leading to a decline in surface quality. We analyze conditions using precision measurement equipment and offer optimal repair solutions.
02
Repair Process
Repair is carried out by performing polishing and machining on the damaged areas.
After analyzing the damaged areas, the surfaces are reprocessed through precision polishing. Nanometer-level repair is achieved using diamond-controlled polishing and calibrated blade finishing. Wire EDM and precision milling are then applied to restore dimensional accuracy in a high-quality environment.

03
Completion & Inspection
Defects and contaminants on the surface are removed through detailed repair work,
improving coating quality and enhancing equipment reliability and lifespan.
Repaired slot dies are restored to reusable quality with surface roughness below Ra 0.1 µm and straightness/flatness within ±2 µm. A 3D precision measuring system is used for final inspection. By minimizing deviations and defects, yield improves, and performance equivalent to a new product can be achieved at only 60–70% of the new product cost.
